ABOUT

Shortly after the passing of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, in November 1984, employees of Vermilion Association for Special Education voted to certify VASE Education Association as their sole bargaining representative.

Established as a wall-to-wall union, VASE EA represents all certified and non-certified employees, with the exception of administration and confidential positions (e.g. bookkeeper).

Nearly 40 years after its certification, VASE EA continues to advocate for the educators and educational support personnel that we represent, so that we can best serve the needs of the students of Vermilion County.
